Feature Story - Penguin Cup Opener!

This week's feature story is written by Aunt Arctic is about the Penguin Cup starting in Club Penguin and how you can take part in it. Let's have a look at it...

By Aunt Arctic - Welcome to the Penguin Cup, everyone! Grab your Penguin Cup ball, lace up your shoes, and hit the fields. Players are already putting points on the board and every goal counts. Read more to learn how your team could be the champions!

Let's read more of this interesting story about the Penguin Cup in Club Penguin...

First off, every goal you score counts for your team, no matter if you win or lose a shootout.

You can challenge other teams, or just practice with your own. It's all about how many goals you can score.

It sounds simple, right? Well, even if your team is ahead, you shouldn't get too comfy.

Every other soccer star is out to score too. You never know when an underdog will go on a scoring spree!

Whichever team is leading at the end of the tournament on June 29 will win the championship.

By PH - Welcome to the Puffle Party everyone! This has gotta be my favorite. There are new cat and dog puffles, a puffle park, and now tricks as well! It's a puffle-palooza!

Do you have a puffle that just loves going out for walks? Or maybe you've adopted a blue border collie and you're having trouble even keeping up with it!

Well, I reckon you should try doing tricks with 'em.

Come to the Pet Shop and I'll get you all set up. You'll be a right clever puffle whisperer in no time!

Tricks give puffles another activity where they can burn off energy, so it's perfect for the rambunctious ones.

Once you get the hang of the tricks, bring your puffle to one of the special huts spread around the island.

You can meet up with other puffle party-goers and claim a prize. You'll want to rehearse with your pets for the puffle gala on April 24!

By Rockhopper - Thank ye all fer yer help with those puffles! The Migrator be shipshape, now that those scallyway stowaways be gone. 

It be great to be sailin' the seas again, searchin' fer treasure, with only me first mate Yarr by me side.

A special thanks be goin' to PH, the Puffle Handler.

That lass brought the puffles off o' me ship and into the Pet Shop. I don't know how she be doin' it. Those puffles be listen' to her like she be their cap'n!

She be doin' such a good job, perhaps I be namin' an island after her. Paige Island be havin' a nice ring to it.

It should be the island where I found those puffles! That be a sharp idea! 'Course, I have to be findin' that island again! Har har!

My View

I love that Battle of the Ancient Shadows has returned to the Stage as it's a great play for penguins to get involved in with, especially act as shadows behind the screen. I also like that the items from the Costume Trunk have returned as well, as it allows penguins to dress up as characters like  and  which will also come up as that character behind the screen

Support Story - Bunsen and Beaker Visit Gary's Lab
Now, this week's Support Story is written by Aunt Arctic and is about Bunsen and Beaker visiting Gary's lab in Club Penguin. Let's have a look at it...

By Aunt Arctic - Gary the Gadget Guy gave a tour of his lab to Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker from Muppet Labs. 

Like Gary, Bunsen lets curiosity get the better of him sometimes. I was concerned when I saw them tinkering on a Toaster 3000 together. It turns out my fears were well-placed. After the fires were put out, the three collaborated on ideas for electric paper clips.

At the end of the tour, Gary regretted not being able to show them more. He said, "My newest discoveries are quite astounding! But they're from the future so I have some concerns..."

I tried to ask Gary more, but he began discussing his Paper Clip 3000 plans.

Apparently it increases the paper holdiness by 98.3%!

We had a very special guest in the CP Times office. One of my favorite stars, Kermit the Frog, stopped in for an interview. Find out what he thinks of the island and what his plans are while he's here.

AA: Hi Kermit. Thanks so much for coming by for the interview.

Kermit: It's great to be here, Aunt Arctic! I'm thrilled that our tour go to come to Club Penguin.

AA: And how do you find the island so far?

Kermit: It's cold! Frogs aren't used to the cold. As we say: it's not easy turning blue. Ha!

But everyone is so friendly and keeps telling me to come to their igloo for a party!

AA: A lot of our readers have been practicing their performances. What do you look in for a performer?

Kermit: Lots of passion, a positive attitude...and be yourself, no matter how wild or weird! Those are the most important things when you're working with the Muppets!

AA: What are you working on? Are you helping with the rehearsals?

Kermit: Not really, no. I'll be busy in the Stage, getting ready for the show! But I'll make sure I come out and visit!

AA: One final question, Kermit. It isn't easy being green, is it?

Kermit: It's pretty wonderful...but you'd know, wouldn't you? Hehe!

My View

I love that Squidzoid vs. Shadow Guy and Gamma Gal has returned to the Stage as it's such a classic Club Penguin play and is a great opportunity for penguins to act as a superhero and defeat Squidzoid! I also like that the items from the Costume Trunk have returned as well, as it allows penguins to dress up as Shadow Guy and sometimes as Squidzoid!

My View

It's sad that some things are going to disappear from Club Penguin like being able to act in the play "Penguins That Time Forgot", but in lighter news, a new stage play will be at The Stage which is called "Squidzoid vs Shadow Guy & Gamma Gal". I also can't wait to buy some items from the February 2014 editions of the Furniture and Igloo Catalog.

Club Penguin Rooms: The Stage

Information
The Stage is a room is Club Penguin which is located inside of the Stage building at the Plaza. In Club Penguin, the Stage is popular rooms with penguins who want to act, or watch an entertaining play. The Stage is quite well known for changing for stage plays every month in Club Penguin, for example, in December 2013 the stage play was Humbug Holiday. Sometimes, the play at The Stage hints what will happen later in the month. Penguins can also check out the script for the certain play be clicking the red notebook which is in the bottom-right corner and buy some items for the play from the Costume Trunk catalog, which penguins can open by clicking on the dark red catalog in the bottom-right corner. From the Stage, penguins can only waddle to The Plaza. The Stage is quite an old room in Club Penguin, opened in 2007.

History
The Stage has been part of Club Penguin's history since it was introduced in 2007, making it quite an old room in Club Penguin. Throughout the history of Club Penguin, the Stage has hosted an awards show during the Hollywood Party and has held its very own Penguin Play Awards during the Penguin Play Awards in 2010. Except for its design changing every month due to plays, the Stage hasn't had a new design since the latest play which was about Herbert's life story during Operation Blackout in 2012.

Trivia

• The Stage is one of the only rooms in Club Penguin to change its design every month.
• So far, there gave been 15 different themed plays at The Stage, not counting spin-offs and sequels.
• The Switchbox 3000, the box which activates props on the Stage was created by Gary the Gadget Guy.

My View
I like how penguins can have a go at acting or even watch the play at The Stage, I also like how The Stage play changes every month, as it attracts penguins to see what the new stage play is like.

I love that The Penguins That Time Forgot has returned to the Stage as it's such a classic Club Penguin play and is a great opportunity for penguins to act as caveguin during the prehistoric times. I also like that the items from the Costume Trunk have returned as well, as it allows penguins to dress up as the characters from The Penguin That Time Forgot!
