Firstly, when you log into Club Penguin, Rookie will be on your screen and here is what he'll say...
Happy Halloween! The island is filled with candy, like bursting. I ordered waaaaay too much! Trick-or-treat on the island or in the igloos to get as much as you can.
...click on the arrow button once you've read what Rookie has to say. If you have done that correctly, here is what he'll say next...
Oh, and some candies are cursed... But I don't think anything bad can happen from a curse, right?
Trick-Or-Treating in Club Penguin
This section of the guide will teach you how you can trick-or-treat in Club Penguin during the Halloween Party...
...let's get started! Firstly, to take a look at the candies which you have collected from trick-or-treating click on this icon which is in the top-right corner of your screen...
...around the island, there are many Spectral Sweets Jack-o'-Lanterns. Below you can see the location of every Spectral Sweets Jack-o'-Lanterns on the island...
The Snow Forts
..at the Snow Forts, three Spectral Sweets Jack-o'-Lanterns can be found. All three of them are located next a house which you can trick-or-treat at.
The Beach
...at the Beach, there is one Spectral Sweets Jack-o'-Lantern which can be found next to the Lighthouse.
The Town
...at the Town, there is one Spectral Sweets Jack-o'-Lantern which can found in the centre of the Town.
The Stadium
..at the Stadium, three Spectral Sweets Jack-o'-Lanterns can be found. All three of them are located next a house which you can trick-or-treat at.
The Plaza
...at the Plaza, there is one Spectral Sweets Jack-o'-Lantern which can found in the centre of the Plaza.
The Forest
...at the Forest, there is one Spectral Sweets Jack-o'-Lantern which can found in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
The Cove
...at the Cove, there is one Spectral Sweets Jack-o'-Lantern which can found in the bottom-right corner of your screen.
The Mine Shack
...at the Mine Shack, there is one Spectral Sweets Jack-o'-Lantern which can found in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
Your Igloo or Somebody's Igloo on the Map
...over people's Trick-Or-Treat Igloos can be found be clicking on the map, and click on the list of Trick-Or-Treat igloos or by going to the Stadium, and clicking on the gate.
...once you have clicked on any of the Spectral Sweets Jack-o'-Lanterns, this will appear on your screen...
...if you pick any three candies. You will get an amount of candies and maybe a transformation candy...
...if you get any transformation candy, Rookie will say this...
Whoa! You found a Full-Moon Fireball. Be careful! They'll turn you into a howling wolf if you eat them! I'll put that in your candy bag for safekeeping until we can figure out a way to get rid of them...
...if you open your Candy Bag, you'll see this on your screen...
...click on any transformation candy and this'll appear on your screen...
...if you have done this correctly, press the "D" button and you'll do a special dance like this...

...on the first gravestone, all penguins can buy the Trick-or-treat Bag for 50 candies, the Springy Pumpkins for 60 candies. Member penguins can buy The Nine Lives for 150 candies, the Cat Eyes for 60 candies, the Kitty Costume for 200 candies, the Swamp Monster Mask for 150 candies, the Swamp Monster Costume for 300 candies and the Swamp Monster Feet for 50 candies...
...all penguins can buy the Bat Wig Headband for 60 candies. Member penguins can buy the The Villain Do for 150 candies, the Classic Vampire Costume for 200 candies, the Tomb King Hat for 150 candies, the Tomb King Costume for 200 candies, the Pumpkin Lid for FREE (20 Pumpkin Lids max.), the Creepy Doll Mask for 120 candies, The All Dolled Up for 140 candies and the Creepy Doll Costume for 200 candies...

I think the Halloween Party 2013 is terrifying, scary and most importantly fun! I like how we can collect candy for trick-or-treating, and then use the candies to buy items or transform into monsters! Great work Club Penguin!
