The History of The Gold Puffle

How did the Gold Puffle get to Club Penguin? When was the Gold Puffle released? Who discovered the Gold Puffle? These are all questions which are answered in this part of the post about the history of the Gold Puffle...

Since puffles were released in Club Penguin, there had been a rumour of a "gold" puffle, there is even a Stage play which was based on it. However, in November 2013, the Gold Puffle was found in the mines in the underground of Club Penguin. Originally, the Gold Puffle was discovered by Garianna, a relative of Gary's who had a Gold Puffle. But more recently, the Gold Puffle was discovered by no other than Club Penguin's puffle expert, PH, who had found important pages created by Garianna which confirmed the existence of the Gold Puffle! It wasn't long until then, that PH had found the Gold Puffle hiding right in front of our beaks in the Mine. Since November 2013, members can take part in a "Quest for the Gold Puffle" to adopt their very own Gold Puffle...

Now, to give you an idea of what the Gold Puffle's personality is like, I'll take an extract from the Puffle Handbook...

The legendary gold puffles live near gold deposits in the earth's crust. They are known to dig up rare golden items.

...from this extract, we can see that Gold Puffles are precious as they live near gold deposits and are classed as "legendary" by penguins on the island. We can also see that they're energetic as they do things like dig up rare golden items.

I love that the Gold Puffles are in Club Penguin as they have been a myth in Club Penguin for so long! I love that the Gold Puffle digs up golden rare items as well! I also like that the Gold Puffle is energetic as it makes it different from the other puffles in Club Penguin.

Club Penguin Rooms: The Gold Mine

Information
The Gold Mine is a room in Club Penguin which is located underneath Club Penguin. In Club Penguin, the Mine is a popular room with penguins who want to adopt the Gold Puffle and dig for coins. The Gold Mine is well known for being the place where members can adopt a Gold Puffle as part of the Quest for the Gold Puffle. There is also a mini game in the Gold Mine which is called "Dig For Coins!" which is a game which involves penguins who can get a jackhammer and dig for coins in the brown area in the middle of the room. From the Gold Mine, penguins can waddle to the Mine and the Hidden Lake. The Gold Mine is a room in Club Penguin, which opened in 2010.

History
The Gold Mine has been part of Club Penguin's history since it was introduced in 2010, which is makes it an old room in Club Penguin. Throughout the history of Club Penguin, the Gold Mine has had a boulder blocking the entrance as part of the Cave Expedition in 2010 and caved in in November 2013 due to mysterious tremours. In November 2013, the design of this room was updated due to the mine caving in.

Trivia

• The Gold Mine used to be called the Cave Mine before the cave in, in November 2013.
• This room has permanently got a free item in it, the Mining Helmet.

I like that the Gold Mine has a special game in it, which penguins can play to get coins. I also like how this room has something covered in a blanket, I wonder what it is...

Hello Penguins!

The gold puffle has been discovered... Now it's time for members to go out and adopt one!

Wondering where to begin your journey?

First, you'll want to walk one of your puffles to the Pet Shop and buy a Gold O'berry (there's a giant machine with the Gold O'berry bush growing inside!). When your puffle eats the Gold O'berry they'll start digging up gold nuggets! Dig up 15 gold nuggets and you can activate the gold jackhammer in the Gold Mine. Attracted by all those gold nuggets, the gold puffle will emerge from the earth's crust!

Gold puffles are extremely lucky and can dig up more coins and even rare gold items.

Now go forth and discover those puffles!

Firstly, to adopt the Gold Puffle, make your way to the Pet Shop...

...click on the gold O'berry feeder...

..if you have done this correctly, this should appear on your screen...

...click on the red level for 10 coins...

...if you have done this correctly, there should be a gold O' berry above your puffle...

..once you have done this, there should be a gold nugget counter underneath the moderator badge in the top-right corner, which looks like this...

...if you click on the gold nugget counter, this will appear on your screen...

Quest for the Gold Puffle - Dig up 15 gold nuggets!
You can dig for gold nuggets until you log off. Any gold nuggets you collect will be saved.

...after you have read that, click on the "X" button and start searching for gold nuggets with your puffle...

...once you have collected 15 gold nuggets, this should appear on your screen...

Quest for the Gold Puffle
Take the  gold nuggets to the Gold Mine to activate the jackhammer.

...once you have read that, click on the "Go There!" button...

...click on the area shaped like a puffle which looks like this...

...if you have done this correctly, a gold puffle should spout from the ground like this...

...after this has happened, this should appear on your screen...

...make sure to choose a name for your gold puffle and then click on the "Adopt" button. If you have done this correctly, this should appear on your screen...

Isn't it wild? We've finally tracked down the gold puffles. Finding one isn't as easy as adopting a puffle from the Pet Shop though. These guys are deep underground, and you'll need to use the gold jackhammer to get them. Here's how it's done: Members-head to the Pet Shop with a puffle and buy them a gold O'berry. Once they've had that sparkling snack, take your pet on a walk to find gold nuggets! When you collect 15, go to the newly opened Gold Mine. Use the gold jackhammer to find your gold puffle. It's been quite the journey finding them, so I hope you enjoy these shiny sidekicks!

Hello penguins! It's time for a new Club Penguin: In Focus. This week's In Focus is about Club Penguin's Puffle Expert, PH...

... also known as Puffle Handler, PH is the Puffle Expert in Club Penguin. In fact, she's most well known for discovering the Rainbow Puffle species. PH is also a very unique Club Penguin Character as she is the only Club Penguin Character which is Australian! Making her way to the online Club Penguin in 2011, PH has done many things to influence puffles in Club Penguin. For example, in March 2011, PH was in charge of the reconstruction of the Pet Shop, which was re-designed to be more appealing to puffles. PH also has an association with the Elite Penguin Force as well as Agent PH, an agent hired to train the Elite Puffles, she features in some of the Elite Penguin Force missions for the Nintendo DS. More recently, PH has helped out for the discovery for the Gold Puffle by growing a Gold Puffle O Bush. It has also been confirmed that PH will be making an appearance for the Quest for the Gold Puffle which starts November 14!...

I like PH as she has helped puffles in Club Penguin much over the years. I also like how passionate PH is to finding more about puffles and caring for them. I also love how PH discovered the Rainbow and Gold Puffle species!

By Aunt Arctic - It looks like the damage from those tremors was worse than we thought. I'm very thankful no one was injured in this cave-in. The Cave Mine is completely buried, and it's all hands to the jackhammers as workers race to excavate it. When or if the Cave Mine can be restored is still in the question. However, there are unconfirmed reports a new discovery. There may be another cavern next to the Mine. We won't know for sure until some of the rubble is removed. but workers have reported a certain sparkle to the rocks that has all intrigued. If you would like to help, grab your hard hat, shovel, or even your pizza apron, and head to the Mine. I look forward to reporting on your progress soon.

Now, this week's Support Story is pages from Garianna find in the Mine after the cave in of the Cave Mine. Let's have a look at it...

By PH - Crikey! We found another hint about that elusive gold puffle, and I can't believe where it came from! I had a suspicion that Garianna had a gold puffle when I looked through her potion book. But these pages prove there's more! They look a lot like our puffle handbook from the Pet Shop. They're meant to teach owners how to care for their gold puffles! It turns out, just like a regular puffle after eating a gold O'berry, the gold puffle loves to find shiny stuff  We're putting the piece together, and I reckon I've got a plan to find the legendary puffle! A few page written but that magical sheila Garianna turned up when workers went to look at the Cave Mine collapse. Gary and I have been pouring over them, trying to figure out her notes.

Who is PH?
PH, also known as Puffle Handler is a puffle expert in Club Penguin who knows almost everything about puffles. PH first arrived to the online world of Club Penguin in 2011, when she helped penguins and puffles to redesign the Pet Shop - to make puffles more happier. PH has also assisted penguins in discovering three different puffle species: the brown puffle, the rainbow puffle and the gold puffle. PH is so dedicated to puffles that she pretends to be one and eats Puffle O's. PH has also assisted the Elite Penguin Force in the DS games, as a puffle expert who trains Elite Puffles.

Can we meet PH?
Penguins can meet PH in Club Penguin at certain events which involve puffles like the Puffle Party and Operation Puffle. When penguins are in the same room as PH, PH will wear items such as her explorer hat and pink top with dark pink stripes, which will means that she'll be easier to spot in a crowd of penguins. PH likes to visit busy servers like Zipline, Alpine and Belly Slide. PH also likes to visit rooms like the Plaza, the Ski Village and the Pet Shop.

At this moment in time in Club Penguin, penguins can currently receive a giveaway from PH which looks like this...

The giveaway is called "PH's Golden Puffle Giveaway" and shows PH holding a few gold puffles, surrounded by three puffles in the wilderness. Penguins can collect this giveaway by meeting PH in Club Penguin, and clicking the "box" on her playercard. You can also receive this giveaway (if you have PH on your friend's list) by clicking on PH on your buddy list and clicking on the "box" on her playercard.

My View

I think the character of PH is very wise and has experience and knowledge of puffles in Club Penguin. I also like the fact that PH is Australian which makes her different from any other Club Penguin Character.
