Information
The Book Room is a room is Club Penguin which is located inside of the Coffee Shop building at the Town. In Club Penguin, the Coffee Shop is a popular room with penguins who want to play Mancala and help to create the next issue of the Club Penguin Times! The Book Room is well known for having a variety of books in, which penguins can read by clicking the bookcase. From the Book Room, penguins can waddle to The Coffee Shop. The Book Room is one of Club Penguin's oldest rooms, dating back to when Club Penguin was released.

History
The Coffee Shop has been part of Club Penguin's history since it was introduced in 2005 when Club Penguin was released, it is in fact one of Club Penguin's oldest rooms. Throughout the history of Club Penguin, the Book Rooms has been an office for the Club Penguin Times as part of the Marvel Superhero Takeover in 2012 and has been a place where penguins can meet Santa for the Holiday Party 2011. The Book Room is also one of the only rooms in Club Penguin to only be redesigned once, and that was in 2012, to its current look.

  • The Book Room was opened in 2005, when Club Penguin was released.
  • The Book Room is sometimes referred to as the Club Penguin Times Office.
  • The Book Room's current design was taken from its design during the Marvel Superhero Takeover 2012.
  • The Book Room is regularly decorated for the Anniversary Party every year.

I like how penguins can come and help the Club Penguin Time finish their latest issue, and when they're on a break they can play a game of Mancala!

Club Penguin Game Guides: Mancala

Hello penguins, Need some help mastering the game of Mancala? Want to beat your buddies at Mancala? Well, below is a guide on how to play Mancala...

...Firstly, Here are the instructions on how to play Mancala...

How to Play Mancala- Object of the Game- Each play attempts to collect as many stones as possible before one of the players clears his or her side of stones. The Board- Each player has a side of the board. (top and bottom) The six holes nearest each player belong to him pr her and their large holes or mancala is to the right.
How to Play Mancala- The Board
How to Play Mancala- How to Play- Players alternate turns. In his or her turn each players selects a group of stones from one hole on his or her side of the board. Each stone is dropped one by one in the holes around the board, including his mancala but not the opponent's mancala.
How to Play Mancala- Free Turns- If the last stone is dropped in an empty hole on the players own side, he captures all the stones from the opponents hole directly opposite that hole, including his stone.
How to Play Mancala- How to Win- The game is over when a player has no more stones on his side of the board. The winner is the player with the greatest total of stones in his or her mancala and any remaining stones on his or her side of the board.
Once you have understood the instructions, click on the "X" button, and click on a mancala board.

Tip: Take your time, don't feel under pressure from your opponent.
