Club Penguin Blog: VIDEO: More news about the NEXT Big Update - CPNext

Spike Hike posts about the next big update for Club Penguin on the Club Penguin Blog
Hello penguins! Today Spike Hike posted about the next big update for Club Penguin on the Club Penguin Blog. Here is what Spike Hike posted on the Club Penguin Blog...

Club Penguin Blog: VIDEO: More news about the NEXT Big Update - CPNext

Penguins,

For the last year we have been working on something HUGE! We have been building a WHOLE NEW technology to take Club Penguin into the future. Right now we're calling it CPNext. CPNext will allow us to take the Penguin world to new platforms and devices – connecting our community here on clubpenguin.com to mobile devices on iOS and Android, smart TVs, and who knows what else may come?!

CPNext will look and feel just like Club Penguin today, with a few improvements along the way. We want it to feel as close as possible to the CP community you love! You've already seen the first version of the CPNext technology on "My Penguin" for iPad... mobile igloos are built on it already. We've worked hard to make sure that the CPNext igloos are fully connected with igloos on desktop, so the experience across both is totally seamless.

With CPNext, we will finally be launching the Jump to Friend feature! To make things simpler and faster, you can just jump to where your friend is right when you log in. Much simpler and easier than in current CP! We know this has been a long requested feature – and it's finally coming!

We know that there is some concern about always having full rooms. Don't worry! We've built a lot of smarts into the system to make sure you stay with your friends when you go from room to room. And we will be watching and listening and can turn up or down then number of Penguins in a room based on your feedback. This is your world and we will work with you to find the right balance!

We will be taking our "next" step with CPNext in December with the launch of the Town on iPad. We will then start launching new rooms into the app every few weeks! Over the next few months you are going to see the CP world come to life on mobile. And for those of you with iPhones, iPod Touch, or Android devices – we are working on these NOW and plan to bring the Club Penguin app to you, too!

This is only a tiny bit of what we have planned – wait 'til you see the future for Puffles and Card-Jitsu... ;)

Waddle on!

-Club Penguin Team
My View
Thanks for posting this Spike Hike! It's nice to know about the next update for Club Penguin which is called CPNext! I like the idea of jumping to friends, as it will be easier to meet up with them! Club Penguin: Puffle Medic Pin

A new pin has been hidden somewhere in Club Penguin - the Puffle Medic Pin
Hello penguins! As it's been two weeks since the last pin was hidden (the Herbertech Logo Pin), so that means, it's about time Club Penguin hid a new pin! Below, I have created a step-by-step guide which will help you to find the new pin - the Puffle Medic Pin!

1: Where is the New Pin?
The new pin has been hidden in a place which is less popular than rooms such as the Town. The new pin in Club Penguin has been hidden in the Dance Lounge, as you can see below...

Club Penguin: Puffle Medic Pin

...specifically in the Dance Lounge, the Puffle Medic Pin can be on the drinks vending machine.

2: How can I collect the Puffle Medic Pin?
The Puffle Medic Pin in Club Penguin can simply collected by just clicking on it...

Club Penguin: Puffle Medic Pin

...if you have done this correctly, a blue pop-up box will appear on your screen which will look like this...

Club Penguin: Puffle Medic Pin

...to collect the Puffle Medic Pin, all you have to do is click on the "Yes" Button.

3: How long have I got to collect the Puffle Medic Pin?
To collect the Puffle Medic Pin in Club Penguin, you'll have a whole two weeks to collect it. Make sure you collect the Puffle Medic Pin in Club Penguin, as it'll disappear in two weeks and never return!

My View
I like that the Puffle Medic Pin is hidden in a less popular room in Club Penguin, which makes it harder to find! The Puffle Medic Pin will only been hidden in Club Penguin for 2 weeks!

Your Say
Now it's time for your say! What do you think of the Puffle Medic Pin? Have you collected the Puffle Medic Pin? Share us your thoughts by leaving a comment below.

Club Penguin Times: Issue #423

The Club Penguin Times release their 423rd Issue
Hello penguins! Recently the Club Penguin Times released their 423rd issue, well here's the latest news and stories from the Club Penguin Times...

Feature Story - Inside Herbert's lair!
Now, this week's feature story is about Dot being inside of Herbert's lair! Let's have a look at it...

Club Penguin Times
By Dot the Disguise Gal - Listen up, everyone! I snuck into Herbert's base and recorded a conversation between the villain and his crab. Now we know what he's been doing with those coins!
Let's read this interesting feature story...
Taken from Dot's recording:
Herbert: Klutzy, throw another coin in! It's gotta stay nice and warm.
Klutzy: Click click, click.
Herbert: Not warm enough! I finally have a place where I can relax and enjoy a nice quiet game.
Klutzy: Clickety click click!
Herbert: Well you should have thought of that before you stole a COIN-operated dial for the furnace! Honestly, if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't even have to use my mind control device on the puffles.
Klutzy: Clickety clickety...
Herbert: Of course we don't have enough yet! I want to have be nice and toasty for the rest of my life! MWAHAHAHA!
Klutzy: Click!
Herbert: What did you just do? Don't step there! You're going to set off that trap!
That was all I was able to record before I made a stealthy escape. Good luck to all those penguins rescuing puffles.
Until we put an end to his mind control for good, you're our best bet.
Support Story - EPF - Prepare for danger
Now, this week's Support Story is about the EPF preparing for danger from Herbert. Let's have a look at it...

Club Penguin Times
By Gary the Gadget Guy - Greetings! The hunt for Herbert is afoot. I've been analyzing the bran boxes that you have removed, and I am close to cracking Herbert's security systems. We've already managed to sneak Dot inside once. But to permanently shut down his broadcast device, we'll need full access. I'm prototyping a new gadget that will allow an agent to infiltrate Herbert's base. I don't envy the agent that has to jump into the belly of that beast, but it's the only way! Once inside, they can use the color chips to disrupt the mind control signal and free all the puffles. That'll be the end of his heinous invention!
Upcoming Events
Now, this week's Upcoming Events are very interesting! Let's have a look at them...

Club Penguin Times
On now! Rescue Puffles! - Save puffles and get ready to infiltrate Herbert's base!

Dec. 12 Stage - A Humbug Holiday hits the Stage!

Dec. 19 Coins For Change - Start saving up for the donation drive!

Dec. 5 Penguin Style - Check these frosty fashions at the Clothes Shop.

Find the collectible pin! Hidden now until December 11. Next pin hidden: December 12-26

Club Penguin Blog: The NEXT Big Update - Club Penguin on iPad

Polo Field posts about a big update coming to their app on the Club Penguin Blog
Hello penguins! Today Polo Field posts about a big update coming to their app on the Club Penguin Blog. Here is what Polo Field posted on the Club Penguin Blog...

Club Penguin Blog: The NEXT Big Update - Club Penguin on iPad

Hello Penguins,

Since the introduction of igloos on iPad, the team has been secretly working on something HUGE... the next BIG update for Club Penguin. What is it, you ask?

I'm excited to announce that we're planning to bring the whole Club Penguin world to mobile devices... starting with the iPad.

As you know, that's a lot of work! So... we're going to bring Club Penguin to mobile in the same way that we built Club Penguin back in 2005 -- one little piece at a time.

Club Penguin Blog: The NEXT Big Update - Club Penguin on iPad

Over the next year, we'll be making small updates to the app previously known as "My Penguin". The first update is coming in December, where your 3D penguin avatar will be able to visit 4 rooms on iPad for the very first time! And to celebrate the fact that we finally have the first few rooms available on iPad, we'll be renaming the app. From now on, our iPad app will be called... Club Penguin!

What do you think these new rooms will be? Stay tuned to the blog to find out more.

Until then... Waddle on!

-Club Penguin Team
My View
Thanks for posting this Polo Field! I love the idea that our penguins on the app will be able to waddle around rooms! I also like that the app is turning into Club Penguin, but on the iPad!

Club Penguin: In Focus: Ski Lodge

Let's Focus on the Ski Lodge in Club Penguin...
Hello penguins! It's time for a new Club Penguin: In Focus. This week's In Focus is about the Ski Lodge in Club Penguin...

Club Penguin: In Focus: Ski Lodge

...The Ski Lodge has been around in Club Penguin ever since 2005. The room is a great place for penguins to hang out after playing a few rounds of Sled Racing. The Ski Lodge is also one of the only rooms in Club Penguin to keep its original design, which is probably who most penguins on the island love to visit this room - to remind them of old Club Penguin. In this room, penguins can also play Ice Fishing by click on the green door. Penguins can also play Find Four by clicking on any of the Find Four tables. Penguins can also see some of Club Penguin's natural animals like the moose and mullet hanging from the walls of the Ski Lodge. The Ski Village and the Lodge Attic can also be accessed from this room. Without the Ski Lodge, there wouldn't be a cozy place for penguins to go when they get too cold!

My View
I like how the Ski Lodge looks very cozy and attracts penguins to it! I also like how you can play a game of Find Four with other penguins in the Ski Lodge.

BAFTA Kids' Vote: The Winner is...
Bin Weevils! Bin Weevils won the web category, Disney and Club Penguin were runners up...

BAFTA Kids' Vote: The Winner is...

My View
I don't think Bin Weevils deserved to win as they bribed their players to vote for them, which I think is unfair as Club Penguin didn't bribe at all. Anyway, at least Club Penguin and Disney got 2nd and 3rd. Hopefully Bin Weevils will learn their lesson!
