Club Penguin: Developer Update

Hello Penguins!

Here's an update on what we've been working on this week. We want to let you know a little bit about what we're doing here behind the scenes.

Adventure Party this month - We're putting the finishing touches on this month's event... the Adventure Party! I won't say too much just yet, but I hear a certain pirate may be making an appearance...

Clothing catalog and newspaper - We're doing some updates to our systems for the next few weeks, so the newspaper and this month's clothing catalog will be launching early next week instead of today. Don't worry, we'll let you know as soon as they're ready. Here's a sneak peek of the catalog:




New free items - We're still sending out the two new items to everybody. It will take a few days for the new Red Hat or Blue Cloud background items to get to everyone's accounts.

Bugs squashed - We squashed a bunch of bugs last night, so you can play Card-Jitsu again. We also fixed a couple issues with DJ3K that were causing Flash Player to freeze. Thanks for letting us know about them and helping us make Club Penguin better for everyone!

New games - We've been working on a few new game prototypes. Thanks to those of you that beta tested Rollerscape and some of the other prototypes. You guys had some great feedback! We should have some new games up on the Beta Team site very soon.

Who is DJ Cadence

Cadence is Club Penguin's resident DJ. She also is good at dancing, DJ Cadence makes an appearance in Dance Contest. Cadence first start to waddle around in 2009 where she hosted the Dance-A-Thon Party. She is also know as DJK Dance.

Where Could I find DJ Cadence

Like other Characters on Club Penguin she visits servers such as; Mammoth, Alpine, Zipline, Yeti...... It's easier if you try to find DJ Cadence on different languages such as French, Portugeese and Spanish. Try French Servers.. There's not a lot of servers you can check so it'll be easier! DJ Cadence in the past has been to rooms like the Town, Plaza, Night Club, Dance Lounge, Night Club Rooftop and Even the Dock Check these rooms first when checking servers!

What do I get for finding DJ Cadence?

For Finding DJ Cadence you will automatically get her Stamp (Medium) when you are in the same room as her.

You can also get a Background which you can get by clicking her playercard and clicking the box.

If you Click this you will get this background.

Go to the Ski Village. (located on your map)

Go to the Everyday Phoning Facility.

Throw a snowball at the target.

Waddle to the green square to the red square. Quick!

Throw a snowball at the camera.

 Waddle to the bottom right column so you can hide.

There are three solutions to completing this puzzle.

Solution 1

Throw a snowball at the blue sqaure.

Solution 2

Throw a snowball at the powerbox on the bottom right column.

Solution 3

Avoid the blue square.

Go to the Elevator in the top right.

DJ Cadence Tracker

Cadence is a DJ working at the Nightclub, Cadence made here first apperance during the Dance-a-Thon party in January 2009. She has a purple puffle that matches here personality called Lolz. She is a peach coloured penguin with a scarf, headphones,wristbands and trainers.

Cadence waddles across the island and visits and variety of rooms, but Cadence can be mostly found at Nightclub, Dance Lounge, Nightclub Rooftop, Backstage and Casa Fiesta. If that room is full keep trying, if you keep trying there's a possbility of meeting Cadence. Cadence often goes on servers such as Alpine, Sparkle, Yeti and Mammoth.

For meeting this talented Dj you recieve an exclusive background and stamp. Cadence has two backgrounds which one she'll give out is unknown. Her stamp is medium (blue) you will automatically get it when you are in the same room as her.

My favorite would be the piano because you can give a soft tone or something to rock with! Also you can go so high or so low depending on the mood. You can create a master piece with the piano! I play the piano and write songs all the time, I do this because it either makes me feel happy,sad,anrgy, and maybe it just makes you want to dance! That i swhy I like the piano the best! Club Penguin History: Penguin Band

Hello Penguins!

Great guesses on this week's sneak peek blog post! Quite a few of you guessed that the big picture was the Penguin Band... You were right!

The Penguin Band has changed their look a few times since the beginning of Club Penguin. They first appeared in Penguin Chat 3 back in 2005. Back then, all the members were blue, and they played different instruments:

The group first appeared in Club Penguin in 2006, with different colors and instruments. First they were a Hawaiian band:

Then they were a country band:

This year, the Penguin Band is a bit more modern. We were inspired by all the different bands we've seen around the island. We wanted the Penguin Band to have their own unique musical style, just like you! Now the band is into more than just country -- they're also into rock, alternative and electronic music.

Many bands like to change their style every few years. Who knows? Maybe Penguin Band will change their look again in the future...
