Goodbye 2013, Hello 2014!

Boba 126 goes through all of the highlights from 2013, and what penguins can expect in 2014
Hello penguins! Every year, I make a post which summarises 2013, and tells you what you can expect in 2014 in Club Penguin. So let's get started!

Highlights of 2013

Highlights of 2013
  • Travelling back in time for the Prehistoric Party
  • 2013 started with a magnificent party, which saw penguins travel back in time to the prehistoric times, but that wasn't it! Penguins could also turn into 3 different dinosaur species by digging up dinosaur eggs. All of this couldn't be possible without Gary's new invention the "Time Trekker 3000", which had the ability to travel in time!
  • Being glamourous for the Hollywood Party
In February 2013, penguins prepared for the glamourous event of the year, the "Hollywood Party". At the Hollywood Party, penguins could become actors in three different movies, and near the end of the event could attend an awards party for their hard work! Penguins could also become paparazzi and take snaps of actors! Penguins could also travel in style around the island in a Limo, which has a disco and a swimming pool!
  • Discovering the Rainbow Puffle for the Puffle Party
In March 2013, penguins assisted in the construction of the Puffle Hotel, a new building which would be located at the Plaza, in the middle of the Pet Shop and The Stage. The Puffle Hotel was designed to attract penguins and their pets to pamper, work out and relax! The Puffle Hotel also helped out PH (Club Penguin's resident puffle expert), to discover the majestic Rainbow Puffle species. During the Puffle Party 2013, penguins could adopt the Rainbow Puffle for the first time and become puffle care experts!
  • Mask up and save the island for the Marvel Superhero Takeover
In April 2013, the Marvel Superhero Takeover returned to Club Penguin after it's debut in June 2012. This time, penguins could mask up and become their favourite superheros like Iron Man and Spiderman. However, penguins could also assist Protobot by creating robots in the Robot Factory and using them to destroy the city! To obtain super powers, penguins could play Super Hero Bounce, to collect crystals to purchase super powers!
  • Master Card Jitsu Snow and defeat Tusk for the Card-Jitsu Party
In May 2013, the third chapter in the series of Card-Jitsu was discovered after an avalanche hit the Dojo. Penguins teamed up to dig out the Dojo (once again), but that wasn't it! Penguins could master Card-Jitsu Snow at the Snow Dojo by teaming up with two other ninjas, by using each element to defeat Tusk's snowman minions! Once a ninja has earned all of their Snow Suit and Snow Gem, they could battle Tusk (a walrus from Sensei's past) to restore elemental balance!
  • Scare to win the Scare Games for the Monsters University Takeover
In June 2013, penguins took part in the Scare Games, each penguin picked a team which they would play for: Team JOX, PNK, OK or ROR? Penguins participated in a special mini game to earn scare points for their team. Penguins could also use their scare points to buy thrillingly-good items! At the end of the Monsters University Takeover, Team OK won the Scare Games and got the scare trophy!
  • Become a rebel and defeat the Galactic Empire for the Star Wars Takeover
In July 2013, penguins could become rebels and travel to planets like Tatooine, the Death Star and Yavin 4 by driving the Millennium Falcon. Penguins could defeat Stormtroopers on Tatooine, infiltrate the Death Star to obtain the Death Star plans, fly to Yavin 4 (the rebel base) and fly an X-wing fighter to destroy the Death Star. For this event, Herbert played the role of a sith lord called "Darth Herbert" a parody of "Darth Vader" - a well known character in the Star Wars movies.
  • Surf the waves and chill out at Big Momma's for the Teen Beach Movie Summer Jam
In August 2013, the Club Penguin island was transformed into a tropical paradise as part of the Teen Beach Movie Summer Jam. Brady and McKenzie along with Cadence hosted this epic party! Penguin could surf come waves at the Epic Wave and watch Brady and McKenzie perform at Big Momma's. Penguins could also slide down water slides and perform on stages across the island.
  • Turn into a Chicken Puffle and master wizardry for the Medieval Party
In September 2013, penguins could create potions by collection magic ingredients which were hidden in kingdoms across the island. If penguins correctly made potions, they could transform into a variety of creatures like a Chicken Puffle and a dragon! Penguins were taught the art of wizardry by Club Penguin's resident inventor and scientist, Gary! Penguins could also become a knight (or princess) and search for treasure across the island.
  • Eat Candy and transform into monsters for the Halloween Party
In October 2013, Rookie took over the Halloween duties while Gary was taking a break. Rookie ordered special sweets, which had the power to transform penguins into monsters like zombies and vampires. Penguins could collect these special sweets from jack-o'-lanterns which could be found around the island. Penguins could also trick-or-treat at igloos on the map, and collect candy!
  • Discover the Gold Puffle and defeat Herbert for Operation Puffle
In November 2013, penguins discovered another species of puffle - the Gold Puffle, in the mines of Club Penguin. Members could adopt the Gold Puffle by going on a quest to collect golden nuggets. Herbert also brain washed the puffles in Club Penguin to collect coins for him, the EPF launched Operation Puffle to stop Herbert's evil plan! After several days of puffles being bran washed, the EPF stopped Herbert's evil plan and Herbert was dragged by puffles further into the wilderness.
  • Donate to Coins For Change and show your holiday spirit for the Holiday Party
In December 2013, Club Penguin hosted their final event of 2013, the annual Holiday Party. This year's Holiday Party was focused on donating for 2013's Coins For Change campaign. Penguins could conduct a train around Club Penguin and throw snowballs at objects to donate coins for Coins For Change. 2013's Coins For Change campaign supported 9 different projects located around the world, after each project was unlocked, penguins could receive a free item as a reward. During New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, fireworks could be seen at the Snow Forts.
What can we expect in 2014?
What can we expect in 2014?
Next, we move on to what we can expect to happen in 2014 in Club Penguin. Below you'll see some of the things which have been confirmed by Club Penguin Team Members like Spike Hike and Polo Field...
  • Prehistoric Party 2014 - Dinosaur Puffles?
In a video for the Golden Puffle, sneak peeks of Dinosaur Puffles could be seen near the end of the video. The sneak peek seen also looks like they were in the final stages of design, which means that the Dinosaur Puffles could be a suitable feature of the upcoming Prehistoric Party.
  • Card-Jitsu Shadow?
On Twitter, Polo Field and Spike Hike have confirmed the existence of Card-Jitsu Shadow. Spike Hike has also described the next stage of Card-Jitsu to be amazing, which means that Card-Jitsu Shadow isn't far away from being released.
  • CP Next?
On the Club Penguin Blog, Spike Hike has announced that the next stage of Club Penguin (CP Next) will be coming soon. CP Next will allow penguins to jump to their friends and to find Club Penguin characters, however servers won't exist anymore.
  • CP App for Android and iPhone?
Polo Field has posted two Club Penguin Blog posts talking about that the CP App coming to Android and the iPhone. It is likely that this will be coming out next year, as official concepts have been posted on the Club Penguin Blog.
  • More content to CP App
Polo Field has posted about rooms in Club Penguin being added over the next few months to the Club Penguin App, which means that we'll be expecting to see some familiar rooms in the online Club Penguin come to the Club Penguin App. We will probably see some more amazing features coming to the CP App like games in the online world of Club Penguin.
  • The return of the Penguin Band
Both Polo Field and Spike Hike has teased slightly at the fact that the Penguin Band would be making an appearance in 2014 in Club Penguin. This is also most likely to occur as the Penguin Band didn't appear in Club Penguin at all in 2013.
  • More Takeovers in 2014?
In some tweets in Twitter, Spike Hike said that the rest of 2013 would only include "classical CP parties". This suggests that Club Penguin has more takeovers planned for 2014. Will the Marvel Superhero Takeover return like in previous years? Or will there be a completely new takeover in Club Penguin? Only time will tell. A message from the Boba And Jango CP Team
What a great 2013 we've been through, and we've enjoyed every second of it, thanks to you! Without you, we wouldn't be here in the first place! We hope that the blog will continue to grow in 2014, and that we will help a load more penguins with our posts! We also hope that we learn more about our reader's thoughts of the latest goings on in Club Penguin. On the behalf of the Boba and Jango CP Team, we wish you a Happy New Year! ~ The Boba And Jango CP Team
My View of 2013 2013 has been an awesome year and some many amazing things have happened, like Puffle Digging and the release of the Club Penguin App. My highlight of 2013 would have to be the Star Wars Takeover, as I loved to dress up as my favourite Star Wars characters like Boba Fett and Han Solo! I also liked how penguins could do lightsaber duels with each other too! My View of 2014 2013 was a brilliant year and so many awesome things have happened, but I think that 2014, will be even more amazing and we many even encounter some surprises on the way! I am most excited for the idea of different types of puffle like a Dinosaur Puffle (as you can see above). I also can't wait to meet the Penguin Band as they've haven't been seen in Club Penguin since July 2012 for the Ultimate Jam.
Your Say Now for the final time in 2013, it's time for your say! What was your highlight of 2013 in Club Penguin? What are you most excited for in 2014 in Club Penguin? What do you want to see in Club Penguin in the future? Share us your thoughts by leaving a comment below.

Club Penguin EPF Message from Jet Pack Guy - 26/12/13

Jet Pack Guy sends a new Club Penguin EPF Message
Hello penguins! Today Jet Pack Guy sent a very special EPF Message to EPF Agents and their EPF spy phones. Let's have a look at what he sent...

Club Penguin EPF Message from Jet Pack Guy - 26/12/13

Club Penguin EPF Message from Jet Pack Guy - 26/12/13
Crab-like footprints have been reported in the Wilds. We suspect they belong to Klutzy. It's difficult to trace then back to a single location. We may need to bring in an expert.
My View
Thanks Jet Pack Guy for sending us this message! I wonder where Klutzy is, and I wonder when we'll locate him! It's important that Klutzy doesn't find Herbert or the island could be in trouble yet again! It's most likely that we'll see Herbert and Klutzy return in 2014, and we'll defeat them when they strike!

Your Say
Now it's time for your say! What do you think of Jet Pack Guy's EPF Message? What do you think of Klutzy trying to find Herbert? Do you think we will encounter Herbert and Klutzy in 2014? Share us your thoughts by leaving a comment below.

Club Penguin: Holiday Gift Pin

A new pin has been hidden somewhere in Club Penguin - the Holiday Gift Pin
Hello penguins! As it's been two weeks since the last pin was hidden (the Ornament Pin), so that means, it's about time Club Penguin hid a new pin! Below, I have created a step-by-step guide which will help you to find the new pin - the Holiday Gift Pin!

1: Where is the New Pin?
The new pin has been hidden in a place which is less popular than rooms such as the Town. The new pin in Club Penguin has been hidden in the Boiler Room, as you can see below...

Club Penguin: Holiday Gift Pin

...specifically in the Boiler Room, the Holiday Gift Pin can be found on top of the boiler.

2: How can I collect the Holiday Gift Pin?
The Holiday Gift Pin in Club Penguin can simply collected by just clicking on it...

Club Penguin: Holiday Gift Pin

...if you have done this correctly, a blue pop-up box will appear on your screen which will look like this...

Club Penguin: Holiday Gift Pin

...to collect the Holiday Gift Pin, all you have to do is click on the "Yes" Button.

3: How long have I got to collect the Holiday Gift Pin?
To collect the Holiday Gift Pin in Club Penguin, you'll have a whole two weeks to collect it. Make sure you collect the Holiday Gift Pin, as it'll disappear in two weeks and never return!

My View
I like that the Holiday Gift Pin is hidden in a less popular room in Club Penguin, this makes it harder for penguins to find! The Holiday Gift Pin will only been hidden in Club Penguin for 2 weeks! I also like that this pin has been hidden especially for the holidays!

Your Say
Now it's time for your say! What do you think of the Holiday Gift Pin? Have you collected the Holiday Gift Pin? Share us your thoughts by leaving a comment below.

AA: "So Captain, how does a train engineer compare to being a ship captain?"

RH: "I say it just be as excitin'. Why, it only be only a few nights ago (Tuesday, perhaps) when I came across a terrible beast.

It was a stormy night on the rails, and me hold was full o' coins. I be nearin' the station when out of the snow rose a Woolly Pink Flamingo! The monster hopped on me train and be peckin' at me hat before I could say, 'Shiver me tinsel!'"

RH: "I swung the train to starboard and headed straight into the storm! The wind were whippin' up snow and I be blinded!

Me only hope was to press on at full speed! When I came out the other side o' the storm, the pesky bird be gone. I be happy as a clam that me haul o' coins made it back to the donation station that night."

AA: "Thank you, Captain Rockhopper. Everyone look out for rogue Woolly Pink Flamingos! Good luck on your next voyage."

Club Penguin Blog: I "Choo Choo" Choose You to Join the Chattabox Christmas Train!

G'Day Penguins,

Merry Christmas Eve! You were all looking so fantastic in your Santa outfits, I am loving the Christmas fashion at the moment. Here's a photo of the Santa Flash Mob taking over the Iceberg with Christmas presents - so cool!

How amazing are the Christmas trains? I have been collecting so many coins and donating them to Coins for Change. Its so nice to help people out at Christmas.

For this week's catchup, lets make a huge Christmas train and see how many coins we can collect! I'm guessing it will be loads. This is going to be awesome!

Lets meet at the Snow Forts on the Down Under server at 4pm (East Australian Standard Time) on Thursday 26th December, which will be 6pm for all of you in New Zealand. Don't forget, this is 9pm Penguin Standard Time on Wednesday 25th December (Christmas Day!) for evryone over in the US and Canada.

Merry Christmas Penguins! Waddle on!
